Jamshedpur, Feb 4: A fire mishap was averted when a fire broke out in one of the AC coach of a stationary election special train at platform No. 5 of Tatanagar railway station this morning.Timely intervention held save the situation.
The 21-coaches train carrying around 1,100 jawans of reserved battalion from Gujarat, Goa and Maharashtra was travelling from Pune to Tripura via Tatanagar railway station under Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway.
Located on the Howrah-Mumbai main route Tatanagar is an important station. Several important trains travel via Tatanagar, including the high-profile Rajdhani Express and Duronto Express. The station sees a daily traffic of 90 mail, express and passenger trains, besides a footfall of more than 60,000 passengers.
