XLRI Jamshedpur, Steel Strips Wheels, and DBMS English School among top winners at Garden of the Year 2025 Awards

Jamshedpur: The Horticultural Society of Jamshedpur (HSJ) organized the 10th Garden of the Year 2025 prize distribution ceremony on March 5 (Wednesday) at Beldih Club, Northern Town, Jamshedpur. The prestigious event celebrated excellence in gardening and recognized the best-maintained gardens across various categories.

The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome to Satabdi Mazumder, SDO, Dhalbhum, the chief guest for the evening. The event was graced by Ruchi Narendran, Chairperson of HSJ, and Sumita Nupur, President of the Society. Dr. Anuradha Mohapatra, General Secretary of HSJ, served as the Master of Ceremonies (MC) for the function.

In her address, HSJ President Sumita Nupur welcomed dignitaries, prize winners, and members of the press and media. Dr. Anuradha Mohapatra provided insights into the Garden of the Year competition, explaining the assessment criteria and introducing the panel of judges to the audience.

The event saw the participation of gardening enthusiasts, distinguished guests, and members of the HSJ, along with the winners of the Garden of the Year 2025 competition. Additionally, prizes were awarded for the Campus Mobile Photography Contest, which was held during the 34th Annual Flower Show at Gopal Maidan from December 29, 2024, to January 1, 2025.

Winners Across Various Categories

A total of 15 champions were declared across 11 categories, along with several second, third, and consolation prizes. 13 winners were also recognized in the Campus Mobile Photography Contest.

    • 1st Prize: Manju Bhamra

The prize distribution ceremony honored the best efforts of gardeners, institutions, and individuals who contributed to enhancing the city’s greenery. The event concluded with appreciation for all participants and encouragement for future participation in promoting a greener and more beautiful Jamshedpur.
