Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren calls for integrating AI in ITI syllabus

Skilled do not have to wander for jobs: CM

Ranchi, March 5: “Skilled persons do not have to wander around for employment as institutions and industry require technically skilled workforce and search for it,” said Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren while distributing appointment letters to training offices at Ranchi on Wednesday.

“All of you have been selected as a part of the government. ITI students used to meet me during field visits. There was often a lack of teachers and trainers for them. In the same sequence, all of you have been selected so that you can give better education and skill training to the children. Skill is valued all over the world today. If you are skilled, then you will not have to wander anywhere for employment. Any institution and industry wants to take technically skilled people. It will be the responsibility of all of you newly selected people to provide better training to the youth, so that they can get good employment,” added Soren.

The chief minister distributed appointment letters to 49 training officers under a function organized by labour, planning, training and skill development department.

In the month of September last year also, appointment letters were handed over to 444 training officers.

Hemant Soren said that appointments will continue as the government is committed to take the state to new heights by connecting the youth with employment.

The Chief Minister said that today technologies are changing rapidly. State-of-the-art machines are being used in the industrial world.

“The work of laborers is also being done through machines. In such a situation, if you do not improve your skills according to the time, then you will be left far behind the times. Getting employment will become a big challenge for you. Our effort is that you get training through new technologies so that the doors of employment are always open for you,” said Soren.

The Chief Minister also made a strong pitch for Artificial Intelligence (AI).

“AI is becoming an important part of our life. Technology has advanced a lot through Artificial Intelligence. Today, be it agriculture or industry or any other sector – the use of Artificial Intelligence is increasing everywhere. In such a situation, our youth should move forward in the field of Artificial Intelligence, for this it needs to be included in the curriculum of ITI institutes,” stressed Soren.

He also emphasized on conducting courses to provide training for repairing electric vehicles.

The Chief Minister said that the government is committed to the skill development of the youth. The youth of rural areas are now being given skill development training at the block level itself. They are also being given incentives for getting training.
