XLRI Jamshedpur opens admissions for new hybrid programs in Public Policy and HRM

Jamshedpur, June 17: XLRI – Xavier School of Management has announced admissions for two new one-year hybrid programs—Public Policy & Sustainable Leadership (PPSL) and Public Human Resources Management (PHRM)—designed for working professionals. Developed in collaboration with the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, these programs aim to bridge the gap between governance, leadership, and public management.

Backed by XLRI’s legacy of over 75 years in academic excellence, both programs combine online learning with campus-based immersion. The courses begin on July 28, 2025, and the last date to apply is June 30, 2025.

The PPSL program consists of six modules of 30 hours each, while PHRM comprises three modules of 60 hours, making up a total of 180 hours of instruction. The hybrid format allows for flexibility with weekend online classes and two in-person campus residencies. These programs are open to professionals from across sectors, including civil services, corporates, NGOs, and development organizations. Notably, Group ‘A’ officers of the Government of India can apply under DoPT sponsorship.

One of the key highlights of these programs is their faculty—an innovative blend of XLRI’s experienced professors and industry practitioners. The courses will culminate in a formal convocation ceremony upon successful completion.

Prof. MG Jomon, Program Director of PHRM, and Prof. Kalyan Bhaskar, Program Director of PPSL, emphasized XLRI’s mission to nurture ethical and visionary leaders for public service. “These programs underscore our commitment to sustainable governance and leadership by offering a unique mix of academic depth and real-world relevance,” they said.
