XLRI Jamshedpur, DBMS College and R&D Tata Steel clinch Garden of the Year Award

Horticultural Society Jamshedpur awards prizes for ‘Garden of the Year-2024’

Jamshedpur, Feb 4: The Horticulture Society of Jamshedpur organized ‘Garden of the Year 2024’ on the January 6 and 7 the prizes for which were distributed on Sunday, February 4 during a function organized at the Beldih Club.

An eminent panel of 4 Jury members from West Bengal including Jayanta Ghoshal, Atanu Kar, Debasish Bal and Debasish Mondal and assisted by five members of the Horticultural Society Jamshedpur namely Dr Dhananjay Choubey, Chandan Dalai, Ashwani Kumar Srivastava, Kamal Kishore and Alok Kumar Choudhary, adjudged 84 Participants in 12 categories. It may be mentioned that this year, two new categories were included and they included Balcony with upto 50 pots and more than 50 pots.

The chief guest on the occasion was Ravi Ranjan, IFS, Additional Principal Chief Conservator for Forest, Govt. of Jharkhand.

The award ceremony for the contest in different categories that were held earlier on January 6 and 7, was organized on Sunday at the Beldih Club. The winners in various categories include: Campus Mobile Photography Contest of the 33rd Annual Flower Show 2023:  

1st. Prize: Jyoti Sagar, Teacher KGBV ( Potka ), 2nd Prize: Kalyan Deep, Student, Carmel, Junior College ( Class -5) and 3rd Prize: Sandhya Ramna; Individual Flat / Terrace (Up to 100sq, ft.): Champion:  Geeta Shukla, 2^nd Sanjay Chowdhury, 3rd Nishant;
