Jamshedpur: XITE Gamharia bid an emotional farewell to its graduating students of 2024 in a poignant ceremony held at the Xavier’s School Hall. The event, filled with reminiscence and hope for the future, marked the culmination of the students’ academic journey and personal growth at XITE.
The evening commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Principal Dr. Fr. E A Francis, SJ, Vice Principal Dr. Fr. Mukti Clarence, SJ, and two esteemed graduate students. Dr. Fr. E A Francis, SJ, commended the graduating class for their resilience and accomplishments, remarking, “This farewell is a celebration of your journey and the promising futures ahead. We are immensely proud of your achievements and eagerly anticipate your future successes.”
The program included a prayer song and an introductory speech from a student representative. Vice Principal Dr. Fr. Mukti Clarence, SJ, reflected on memorable moments and milestones shared by the graduating class, while the student speeches offered heartfelt reflections on their experiences and lessons learned during their tenure at XITE.
The evening’s entertainment featured captivating performances by various student groups, showcasing the college’s diverse talent. Highlights included a soulful musical rendition by the college choir and a dynamic dance performance by the culture club, both of which captivated the audience and received resounding applause.
The prestigious Mr. & Miss XITE awards were bestowed upon Pratik Agarwal and Alison Birua, recognizing their exemplary leadership, involvement in campus activities, and positive influence on their peers.
As the ceremony drew to a close, graduates gathered on stage for a final group photo, symbolizing unity and the enduring bonds formed during their time at XITE. The event concluded with the national anthem, followed by a lively DJ party and dinner, fostering a festive atmosphere of camaraderie and celebration.
