XITE Gamharia organizes water conservation workshop on World Water Day

Gamharia, Mar 20: XITE Gamharia organized a workshop on water conservation to mark World Water Day, focusing on the growing global water crisis and the importance of sustainable water management. The session revolved around the theme, “Understand water as a living being; we must have respect and compassion towards water.”

Vice Principal Father Mukti Clarence and Dr. Swati Singh welcomed the guest speaker, Dr. Jyoraj Jain, an accomplished technical and investment consultant with over three decades of experience. A gold medalist and recipient of prestigious awards like the National Award for Fabrication Technology (1992) and the Vigyan Ratna Award (2017), Dr. Jain shared valuable insights on water scarcity and pollution.

He highlighted the urgent need for conservation efforts, stressing that “Water is not just a resource; it is life.” Dr. Jain emphasized key principles such as recognizing water as a living entity, following the 3R approach (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and consuming purified alkaline water.

The session saw enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students. Dr. Swati Singh, Principal of the English Department, played a key role in organizing the event, ensuring an engaging discussion on one of the most critical environmental challenges of our time.
