XITE College celebrates Saint Ignatius Loyola Day

Gamharia, July 29: A programme to celebrate Saint Ignatius Loyola Day was organized in the XITE College Conference Hall that was inaugurated jointly by Principal, Fr Dr Francis and Vice Principal Father Mukti.

To mark the occasion, students presented prayer and group songs, dances and a short play depicting the life and teachings of St Ignatius Loyola. Principal Father Dr Francis, in the course of his address, observed, “We draw our inspiration from the life of Saint Ignatius. We recognize that somewhere in us there is a spiritual power that inspires us to tread the path of truth and a heart laden with love and compassion. Many educational institutions are named after Saint Ignatius Loyola across the country and in foreign countries based on his ideals and principles. It will not be an exaggeration to state that this educational institution provides quality learning in managerial, human and psychological studies in life to national and foreign students isuch institutions worldwide.”

 Dr Radha Mahali, Dr Bharti Varshney, Dr Sanchita Ghosh Choudhary and Professor Sushmita Sen were instrumental in making the whole program a success. Dr Partha Priya Das, Professor Nishith, Dr Pramod Singh, Professor Shalukant, Dr Pompey Das, Professor Shailesh Dubey, Naval Narayan Chaudhary, Dilip, Professor Amit Chaturvedi were also present on this occasion.
