Xavier School Jamshedpur’s Tamanna Mondal secures first place at Regional ASISC Declamation Contest

Jamshedpur, Aug 29: Narbheram Hansraj English School, Jamshedpur, hosted the Regional ASISC Declamation Contest for Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior categories on Friday. The competition, organized under the Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate (ASISC), provided a platform for young speakers to showcase their oratory skills. Founded in 1957, ASISC now has 1,600 member schools across India out of more than 2,200 affiliated to the Council for the ISC, New Delhi.

A total of 14 schools from different cities participated in the event. The contest was judged by Soma Banerjee, Principal of DBMS Career Academy, Anindita Roy, Vice Principal of Jusco School Kadma, and Mitali Roy Choudhury, former Principal of a reputed ICSE school in Jamshedpur. The special guest of the day was Nandini Shukla, Principal of Kerala Samajam Model School.

In the Sub-Junior category, Sadaf Aafreen of Don Bosco Academy, Patna, won the top position, while Tanaya Jha of J.H. Tarapore School, Jamshedpur, and Madhuparna Sarkar of St. Anthony’s School, Ranchi, were placed second and third. The Junior category was won by Aliya Rachael Samuel of St. Xavier’s School, Bokaro, followed by Aditya Chitlangia of St. Xavier’s School, Ranchi, and Anushka Sharma of St. Joseph’s Convent High School, Patna. In the Senior category, Tamanna Mondal of Xavier School, Jamshedpur, secured first place, while Kanyaka Jha of Carmel High School, Patna, and Suryabha Saxena of St. Francis School, Deoghar, finished as runner-up and second runner-up.

The event was conducted under the guidance of school Principal Paramita Roy Chaudhury. Awards were presented by Nakul Kamani, President of Narbheram Hansraj English School, and guest Nandini Shukla.
