Jamshedpur, July 11: World Population Day was observed at RVS Academy on July 11. A special assembly session was organized during which, students spread awareness on the alarmingly shooting graph and unless the population growth was checked, consequences like poverty and unemployment would soar to dangerous heights. The session that opened with the recitation of Sanskrit Slokas included a speech, skit and song themed on undesirable population growth. The students, through various presentations, warned that the inflationary trend of population growth would result in depletion of natural resources, food and water scarcity, social conflicts, diseases and war. RVS Academy Chairman, Binda Singh stressed on sustainable development through judicious use of natural resources. School Principal, Visha Mohindra, in her message during the special assembly expressed concern over health and safety of mankind.
