Jamshedpur: The 15 day long training programme organized for the physically challenged persons at Golmuri concluded here on Friday.
It was organized under the aegis of Udaan, a city-based NGO working for the physically challenged persons. The chief guest of the programme was the District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) Sanjay Kumar.
Addressing the gathering, Kumar said the participants could explore business opportunities by supplying cloth and jute bags in the market as an alternative to polythene.
He said the business of eco-friendly bags could be started with small capital and the business could grow faster given the demand for such products in the fast changing market scenario.
The DPRO further said that the district administration will provide all possible help to people interested in starting such an enterprise. Loans will be made available to interested candidates, he said.
In a bid to spread awareness on environment conservation, cloth bags were distributed among all trainees.
Also present on the occasion was Shamsul Akhtar, manager of the NGO, Karuna, who gave training to the participants.
The DPRO distributed certificates among the participants at the completion of their training.
