Workshop on soft skills begins at DAV Bistupur

Jamshedpur, May 14: A three-day Soft Skills Workshop themed “Empower, Express, Excel” began at DAV Public School, Bistupur on Tuesday, aimed at equipping students with essential life skills such as communication, leadership, and teamwork.

The workshop, which will conclude on May 16, has drawn enthusiastic participation from around 50 students of Classes VIII to XII. The event commenced with the DAV Gaan and was presided over by Supervisory Heads O.P. Pathak and Ashraf Jahan, along with Teacher-in-Charge Sujata Mukherjee and other faculty members.

In her welcome address, Supervisory Head Ashraf Jahan highlighted the importance of soft skills in building confident and competent individuals. The workshop’s opening session featured an engaging ice-breaking activity, “Know Thy Partner,” which encouraged interpersonal communication and active listening among students.

Adding to the excitement, students also took part in a lively “Treasure Hunt on Words,” designed to boost vocabulary, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in an interactive setting. The activity witnessed high levels of energy, creativity, and collaboration among participants.

The first day concluded on a positive note, with students actively involved in all sessions and gaining valuable insights into effective communication, cooperation, and relationship-building—setting the tone for a meaningful learning experience in the days to come.
