Workshop on ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’ in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to launch the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’ from September 25, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, and it will continue until December 25, the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The campaign will promote the message of self-reliance and Swadeshi through various initiatives including signature drives, seminars, traders’ and youth conventions, morning processions, and Swadeshi fairs.

To prepare for the campaign, a workshop was organised under the aegis of BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar at the district office in Sakchi. The programme was presided over by Mahanagar President Sudhanshu Ojha, while Jharkhand BJP State Minister Saroj Singh participated as the chief speaker. District-level conveners, co-conveners, and members appointed to ensure the success of the campaign were also present.

Addressing the workshop, Saroj Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promoted Swadeshi since 2014 through policies like ‘Make in India’ and ‘Made in India’. As a result, India’s defence exports have now reached ₹24,000 crore. “Swadeshi is the very essence of the Prime Minister’s vision, and it is our duty to take this message to every household,” he said. Singh further added that the freedom movement was not only about independence but also carried the essence of Swadeshi and self-respect, which must now be revived in everyday life, festivals, and purchases.

BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar President Sudhanshu Ojha said that self-reliance means giving priority to products made in India. He urged party workers to inspire people to adopt Swadeshi products in their daily lives. “India is one of the fastest-growing economies and also the youngest nation. If the youth are encouraged towards Swadeshi, the country can once again emerge as a global economic power,” he said.

The workshop was conducted by campaign district convenor Sanjeev Singh, while district vice-president Rajeev Singh proposed the vote of thanks.
