Workshop on Advanced Control Techniques at NIT Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, March 17: The Electrical Engineering Department at NIT Jamshedpur successfully organized a seven-day high-end workshop funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB). The workshop, titled ‘Advanced Control Techniques for Switched-Mode Power Supply for Electric Vehicle Application,’ was held between March 11 and 17, 2024.

Several dignitaries were present at the valedictory ceremony, held on March 17 at 3:30 PM. Chief Guest Prof. Pradip Kumar Sadhu from IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, Prof. Goutam Sutradhar, Director of NIT Jamshedpur, Prof. M. K. Sinha, Dean of Research and Consultancy at NIT Jamshedpur and Prof. U. K. Sinha, HOD of the Electrical Engineering department at NIT Jamshedpur, graced the occasion.

Chairing the workshop was Dr. Mrinal Kanti Sarkar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at NIT Jamshedpur. The workshop aimed to explore advanced control techniques pertinent to switched-mode power supply for electric vehicle applications, catering to the evolving needs of the field.

Participants benefited from comprehensive discussions, practical demonstrations, and collaborative learning opportunities throughout the workshop’s duration, enriching their understanding of cutting-edge technologies in the domain.
