Ranchi: A state level one day workshop for differently abled persons with leprosy affliction was organized jointly by National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People, Association of Persons Affected by Leprosy and Jharkhand Viklang Manch under the aegis of Apple Foundation and Disabled People International at Ranchi today.
The chief guest on the occasion was State Disability Commissioner Satish Chandra while the guests of honour were Rajiv Rathodi of NCP EDP, Apple vice president Venugopal Naidu and Apple advisor Uday Thakkar.
The differently abled persons were informed about the special measures adopted by the Election Commission for their benefit. They were urged to cast their votes during the forthcoming LS elections.
The president of Jharkhand Viklang Manch Arun Kumar Singh informed those present at the workshop about the importance of the organization and of being united. �We have to get information of the government�s development projects. Only then will our contribution to society will be acknowledged and unity will prevail,� he said.
