Workshop for children on good touch-bad touch and social awareness in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, April 25: Members of Surabhi, the women’s wing of Marwari Yuva Manch (MYM) Steel city branch organized a workshop aimed at educating children on the importance of understanding good touch, bad touch, and on social awareness. The workshop, held on the fourth day of a five-day program, was specifically tailored for the students of Punjab Refugee Middle School, Agrico in Jamshedpur.

Led by Payal Agarwal, the workshop utilized interactive demonstrations to elucidate the concepts of good touch and bad touch, emphasizing the significance of distinguishing between them. Key aspects such as building a strong foundation of trust between children and parents were underscored by branch president Kavita Agarwal. It was stressed that open communication with parents was crucial for ensuring children’s safety and well-being.

Additionally, children were cautioned against accepting gifts or favors from strangers and encouraged to share any experiences with their parents. Branch Secretary Pooja Agarwal highlighted the importance of social awareness, particularly regarding the risks associated with excessive smartphone usage among children. The workshop emphasized the detrimental effects of smartphone radiation on children’s health and academic performance.

The organizing team included President Kavita Agarwal, Secretary Pooja Agarwal, Treasurer Payal Agarwal, along with Usha Chaudhary and Pinky Agarwal.
