Jamshedpur, April 23: A workshop was conducted for the teachers of the Jamshedpur Public School (JPS) on Saturday, April 23, to empower them with skills such as managing adolescent issues, facilitating change management, understanding emotional and multiple intelligences.
The resource person for the workshop was Salony Priya, director, Ummeed, Kolkata. She stressed on the importance of the six C’s i.e Care, Concern, Collaborate, Connect, Communicate and Counsel.
In a world where children are getting more and closer to gadgets than to near and dear ones, the role of a teacher as well as that of a parent becomes crucial, Priya opined.
The teachers felt energized and empowered after the workshop and equipped with these skills pledged to bring about a change in their classroom teaching techniques for the benefit of the children who are entrusted in their care.
