Womens Day event boosts female voter turnout

Jamshedpur, March 8: With the Lok Sabha election round the corner, the members of Lavanya Grih Nirman Swalambi Shehkari Sahyog Samiti Ltd. on the occasion of International Women�s Day appealed all the women to cast their vote on the polling day at a function held at their office in Dimna Road, Mango. The program was hosted by Chandana Chatterjee. On the occasion, Chief of the Sanstha Usha Singh said in this men dominated society we are trying our level best to make women of the society independent and strong to meet the challenges. Singh said that currently there are more than 100 women associated with the women were they presented a colourful cultural program.

On the occasion rajya Sabha MP Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu, Congress leader Avtar Singh Taari, Intuc leader Devika Singh shared their thoughts and said that 50% reservation for women in Panchayat and Municipality is provided by Congress.

Congress has made the womens independent which is why women are moving forward with time. At the event Sumitra Devi, Nisha Chodhary, Shashi Rajak, Beena Devi, Manjeet Kaur, Purnima Raut, Karmvati Devi, Shobha, Paramjeet, Prabha, Alisha Tirkey, Dharmpal, Malti Tiwary, Lakshmi and Harjeet Kaur were present.
