Gamharia, Mar 9: International Women’s Day was observed as Women Empowerment Day at the Jamshedpur Dairy Complex. The event featured Chandil CDPO Ama Sinha as the chief guest, along with special guests Sunita Singh (Teacher, Loreto Convent School, Roche), Vandana Thakur (Headmistress, Adityapur High School), and Vinita Singh (Advocate, Patna High Court). The program aimed to celebrate and promote women empowerment, highlighting the significant role of women in various fields.
Chief Guest Abha Sinha addressed the women workers at Jamshedpur Dairy, providing detailed information about government initiatives such as Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Widow Marriage, and Widow Pension, aimed at empowering women. Sunita Singh and Vandana Thakur emphasized the collaborative effort of both men and women in advancing women empowerment, citing inspirational figures like Kiran Vedi, Sushmita Sen, Padmavati Bandopadhyay, Pepsi CEO Indira Nooyi, President Daupadi Murmu, and Nykaa founder Phalgu Nair.
Approximately 90 women actively participated in the program and were honored with gifts for their contributions. Amit Kumar Suman, Chief Executive of Jamshedpur Dairy, highlighted the importance of women in the development of society. The event also had the presence of Dairy Marketing Officer D. Kundu, Plant In-charge Hem Kumar, Nityanand, Rajeshwar Ram, Sushil Kumar, Anupam Kumar, and Mithilesh Kumar.
