Women take out �Save Girl Child� rally

Jadugoda: Women took out a rally with the slogan, �Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child� in Nutandih village in Potka Block. The rally was a part of the Tejaswini Project being run jointly by UNICEF and the Jharkhand government for the empowerment of young girls between the ages of 14 and 24 years. The rally was led by the Project�s Cluster Coordination Counselor Kudmi Mardi. The girls in the age group made paper packets as a symbol of self employment. Other who participated in the rally included Savita Mardi, Sanmani Sardar, Jyotsna Sardar, Urmila Sardar, Shila Bhumij, Durgamani Sardar, Pushpa Sardar, Arti Sardar, Aladi Sardar and others.
