Jadugoda: The District Registrar of Cooperative Societies has, vide a letter to the UCE Cooperative Credit Society to form a committee of executives prior to the general body elections on October 29 and elect eight members including a treasurer as executive committee constituents.
It may be mentioned that the executive committee of UCE Cooperative Credit Society was dissolved in September 2019. Since then, loans of the Society members were not being sanctioned as a result of which they had to resort to loans from their PF accounts to meet exeigencies like children�s higher education, medical treatment, marriages of daughters. Many UCIL employees had to borrow from private money lenders at high interest rates to meet unavoidable expenses.
The announcement of the formation of the executive committee has enthused all employees of UCIL. The committee elections will be held under the supervision of Assistant Officer of Cooperative Department Parmahans Sharma who will be the observer.
Similarly, the Mosabani Mines Employees� Cooperative Credit Society will elect its executive committee on October 27. The observer on the occasion will be Basant Kumar Rai.
