Jamshedpur, July 6: Social worker Ritu Rungta today inaugurated the three day Rakhi Mela organized by the women�s wing of Rajasthan Yuvak Mandal at the RYM Bhawan in Jugsalai today. She visited the stalls set up for display and sale of Rakhis, handicrafts, designer sarees, gift items, bed sheets, attractive dresses for deities, jewelry and household appliances. Happy and elated on seeing the items displayed in various stalls, the social worker observed, �Today�s women are empowered. They are homemakers, community servers and nation builders. This is an exquisite fair and the efforts of the women here are indeed laudable.�

Secretary of RYM women�s wing Sushila Khirwal informed that the fair would be on till Monday, July 8 and be open between 10 am and 8 pm. She requested women to visit the fair and make purchases from a range of articles available in the stalls.

Ankita Lodha conducted the inaugural programme while Laxmi Sharda offered the vote of thanks. Among those present at the inaugural were Basudev Khemka, Mahesh Khirwal, Vina Khirwal, Banwari Lal Khandelwal, Rajesh Ringasia, Rajkumar Barwalia, Murari Lal Agrawal, Sangita Mittal, Gita Murarka, Kanchan Khirwal, Lata Khirwal, Babita Bankrewal and Kamlesh Agrawal.

On the second day of the Rakhi Mela on Sunday, July 7, social worker Arun Bankrewal and his wife Madhu Agrawal would be the guests and visit the stalls at the RYM Bhawan at 5 pm.
