Saraikela, Sept 13: Ward 17 of Adityapur Municipal Corporation Parishad member Nitu Sharma has demanded protection of life and property from the district police and Adityapur police station vide a written complaint stating that she was being threatened over the phone by persons for being a witness in the court marriage of a Congress woman leader.
Nitu Sharma along with the Municipal Corporation Ward members went to the Adityapur police station on Saturday and met the OC and demanded in writing protection for life and property. She said that on earlier occasions too before the court marriage took place, she was threatened buy two persons warning her against standing witness to the marriage. They had also used foul language during the telephonic threats. She said that she had lodged a complaint against those threats as well. Nitu Sharma along with her Parishad colleagues demanded immediate arrest of the persons she has accused of threatening her.
