Jamshedpur, Dec 10: One Sarla Majhi of Gadra approached Parsudih police to seek action against her husband, Kanhai Singh, for allegedly marrying another woman and driving her out of her matrimonial house. She alleged that the accused had also refused to give her money for daily expenses.
In the complaint, Sarla alleged that she was first married to one Sunil Murmu in 2008. After a year of their marriage, Sunil went traceless. Thereafter, she got married to Kanhai Singh of Gadra in a temple. Kanhai’s parents drove her out of her matrimonial house in 2017. After her son’s birth, they accepted her, she said, adding further that she was again driven out of her house when her husband got married second time.
Sarla said she had approached the local panchayat and complained against her husband. She said her husband was directed by the panchayat to keep her with him. But the accused husband drove her out after few days.
