Jamshedpur: Enraged over brawl with her estranged husband a 28-year-old mother allegedly poisoned her two minor children and ended her life committing suicide in Tinplate under Golmuri police station area in the wee hours of Saturday.
The victim Alka Kumari first poisoned her seven-year- old daughter Sarika and five-year-old Siddharth when they were in sleep and hanged self to the ceiling of her home allegedly after a fight with her estranged husband, Sanjay Kumar in the wee hours, according to the information.
Slain Alka was alive when the police reached her home on receiving information from Kumar about poising of his children.
The police, with the support of Kumar, immediately rushed the minors, who were found lying in unconscious state, to Tata Main Hospital for treatment. But in the meantime, when nobody was at home, Alka hanged self to the ceiling of her room and ended her life abruptly, said the police.
At present, condition of the two minor is stable. �We are inquiring into the matter and questioning Sanjay Kumar in this connection,� said Golmuri police station in-charge Md. Nehal.
