Jamshedpur: A case of elopement came to light in Mango police station area on 10th May. It was lodged by the husband of a woman, resident of Road Number 8, Azadnagar, who said she was allegedly abducted by one Deepak, an employee of a micro finance company based in the city.
Police said the victim, whose husband is an auto-rickshaw driver, set out of her house around 10 am after telling her husband that she was going to deposit installment in the micro finance company’s office.
After several hours passed, the husband went to the finance company’s office to find out about his wife. He was told that Deepak was missing from the office since morning.
Sensing something fishy, the aggrieved husband went to the Mango police station and lodged a case against Deepak for ‘abducting’ his wife.
Police said the mobile phones of both Deepak and the auto-driver’s wife were found to be switched off.
