Jamshedpur, Jan 30: City girl Riya Sawa has topped the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) by fetching 98.92 percentile marks. The results were declared Sunday evening.
Riya who hails from Mango is working at IBM. Her father Rajendra Sawa is a businessman while mother Sangeeta Sawa is a homemaker. She took her job in 2020 and is now focusing on MBA studies.
According to sources, Pushkar Kumar has obtained 98.85 percentile marks and has become the second topper while Vaishnavi Shringi has become the third topper with 98.05 percentile marks.
This year, 30 aspirants from city cracked XAT while a total of 100 candidates all over Jharkhand have been successful in the entrance test. Around 5000 candidates will be called for the next round. Final selection will be made based on performance of candidates in group discussion and personal interview. The exam was held on 8th January this year. A total of 98, 242 candidates had registered for XAT of which 64% were males and 36% were females, but shortly thereafter, students reported errors with their scorecards and the website was taken down.
All the selected candidates will further have to appear for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The shortlisting of candidates for XAT GD and PI will begin soon at the institute website.Â
XLRI conducts XAT on behalf of XAMI. For more than 72 years XLRI is conducting XAT at all India level to select the most appropriate students for management education. The XAT score is being used by more than 160 institutes for the admission.
XAT exam 2023 is conducted for admission in XAT colleges to PGDM business management (BM) and human resource management (HRM) programmes.
