Jamshedpur, May 9: In an effort to provide students with a purposeful engagement during their summer vacation, St. Mary’s English High School organized a 10-day Summer Camp from May 8th to May 18th, 2024. The camp, being held at the Senior Block campus, aims at utilizing students’ leisure time constructively.
The camp was inaugurated on Wednesday, May 8th, with Akash, the Area Manager Sports of Tata Archery Academy and High-Performance Centre, and Manager of Tata Steel Adventure Foundation, gracing the occasion.

Addressing the gathering of students, Akash emphasized the importance of physical activities and urged them to adopt a fitness regime seriously. He highlighted the significant role that sports and physical activities play in disciplining the mind and body, contributing to the overall personality growth of students. Akash emphasized that such activities promote social skills, provide learning opportunities, and instill teamwork abilities.

The summer camp features a diverse range of activities including Handball, Basketball, Football, Adventure Sports, Music, Dance, and Zumba sessions. These activities are designed to promote students’ well-being and will be conducted effortlessly and joyfully throughout the duration of the camp.
With a participation of 400 students, the event was conceptualized and organized by the Sports Department of St. Mary’s English High School, under the guidance of School Principal Father Vernon D’souza and Vice Principal Father Alex Darwin.
