Jamshedpur’s Monali Biswas, Rudra Nil Roy triumph at East Singhbhum District U-11 Chess Championship

Jamshedpur, May 9: Monali Biswas in the Girls’ category and Rudra Nil Roy in Open category were declared the winners at East Singhbhum District U-11 Open and Girls Chess Championship organized by East Singhbhum District Chess Association (ESDCA) at JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur on May 9.

7 round in Boys category and 4 rounds in Girls category were played.

Monali Biswas clinched the top position in the U-11 girls’ category, with Bidushi Munshi and Naira Aditya securing the second and third spots respectively.

Notable mentions in the top 10 winners’ circle included Eshani Choudhury, Ananta Baranwal, Zaira Ahmad, Chandni Alda, Shreya Dutta, Saanvi Gandhi, and Soujanya Subhasini.

In the U-11 Open category, Rudra Nil Roy showcased exceptional skills to claim victory. Nishchay Singh Rana secured the second position, while Ayush Dey and Mayan Jha grabbed the third and fourth spots respectively.

Swastik Singh secured the fifth position, followed by Divyansh Agrawal, Yuvansh Bhalotia, Purav Rusabh Gandhi, V. Kartik, and Sachith Arun Harithsa.

Prize winners were awarded by Chief Guest NK Singh, former President of All Jharkhand Chess Association. Guest of Honour was Satbir Singh, former National Cyclist. Also present were NK Tiwary, Gen. Secretary, ESDCA and also were present on this occasion IA Jayant Kr Bhuyan, Chief Arbiter Vishal Kumar Minz.
