Jamshedpur, Jan 24: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto participated in the second day of the Veer Bal Diwas programme on Monday at Sakchi Gurdwara Sahib. The programme was organised under the leadership of coordinator Sardar Gurdev Singh Raja and co-convenor Surinder Singh Shinde.
On the occasion, a signature campaign was carried out by distributing postcards among Sikh people outside Gurdwara Sahib. They thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the initiative. On the occasion, Sardar Shailendra Singh, President of Jharkhand Gurdwara Committee and Sardar Gurdev Singh Raja, former Vice-Chairman of Minorities Commission, apprised the MP about the demand of amendment in the name of Veer Bal Diwas by the Sikh society.
The MP also seriously listened to the demand of the Sikh society and assured that by writing a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he would make him aware of the feelings of the society and he would definitely keep these things in front of him after meeting him in Delhi.
The MP said that hardly anyone would have shown such valour at such a young age. Not one, not two, the sons of all the four Gurus did not bow their heads by showing indomitable courage and sacrificed for the sake of religion and nation.
On the occasion, Sardar Shailendra Singh said that the Sikh society is happy after the announcement of Veer Bal Diwas by PM Modi. But amending the name of Veer Bal Diwas, proposes to make it Chaar Sahibzaade Day or Veer Sahibzade Diwas which will be more respectful. The state co-convener of the program Kulwant Singh Bunty also assured that he would try to convey the feelings of the sangat to the Prime Minister through the appropriate platform of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
