Jamshedpur,Jan 24: The last rehearsal of the Republic Day parade to be held at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur was inspected by the Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. M. Tamil Vanan on Monday. One contingent each from JAP-6, Auxiliary Police, District Home Guard and one contingent each of DAP (Male and Female) participated in the parade.
As part of the preparations for the Republic Day, the rehearsal of the parade was going on from last January 20, under which the last rehearsal was done on Monday. On the occasion, the senior superintendent of police gave necessary directions to the police officers regarding the parade and also took stock of other preparations at the district level main function venue.

Addressing the media on the occasion, Vanan said that a limited number of people would attend the main function this year in view of the COVID pandemic. The flag hoisting will be done at 9.05 minutes. Instructions have been given to strictly follow the Covid protocol at the district level main function venue.
Guidelines have also been issued regarding security arrangements and traffic arrangements regarding Republic Day. During this, Deputy Development Commissioner Parmeshwar Bhagat, ADM Law and Order Nandkishore Lal, Director DRDA Saurabh Sinha, District Transport Officer Dinesh Ranjan, District Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar and other officials were present.
