Wild elephants push villagers to live under shadow of terror

Jamshedpur, May 5: Herd of 50 wild elephants have been camping for several days in the Lugahara forest bordering West Bengal in Sandra Panchayat located in Baharagoda block of Chakulia forest area of ​​East Singhbhum district. Due to this, the villagers of many nearby villages are living under the shadow of terror. It has become difficult for the villagers to leave the house in the evening.  The faintest of sounds outside terrorizes the villagers during the night. The elephants are causing heavy losses to the farmers by destroying the paddy crop. According to the villagers, these wild elephants are roaming in the area like sounders of death.  As soon as the sun sets, the villagers get themselves locked in their homes due to the fear of elephants. The Forest Department has failed to take these wild elephants to a safe place. According to the villagers, wild elephants have so far caused huge damage to the farmers.
