Jamshedpur: Ruckus was witnessed in Ranikuder under Kadma police station area on Tuesday when a group of hooligans allegedly barged into a widow�s house and assaulted her family members. The accused persons also allegedly vandalised the household articles.
Noorjahan, the widow, alleged that police took no action despite her complaint. She said the incident was the handiwork of a local builder, Khurshid Hasan alias Bhola Khan, resident of Shastrinagar. She said she had sold 400 square feet land to the builder. But the latter wanted possession of the entire 1600 square feet land, she said.
Irked over the incident, local residents gheraoed the Kadma police station and demanded arresting of the accused persons.
