Chaibasa, April 28: West Singhbhum deputy commissioner Abu Backer Sidhique chaired a meeting of the establishment committee at his office on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that of the two establishment committees, the first is the primary educational committee, while the second is the middle educational committee.
Earlier, these were state-level committees, but as per the new notification, these two establishment committee are empowered at the district level.
As per the new rule now the new teachers� appointment, existing teachers transfer and promotion and official clerk transfer, promotion and appointment will be decided in district level.
In this connection roster clearance processing is considered as fundamental. In the context the posts are identified as 46 posts for ST, four posts for SC and 50 posts are unreserved. After reviewing these posts, the DC directed the DDC to prepare a roster and send it to assistant samahrta.
Following due verification, the roster should be finally submitted to DC office and this process should be completed within a week.
Subsequently the roster will be sent to state level employment selection commission panel and the commission will send back the list of the newly selected teachers to the district for appointments.
The establishment committee also decided to promote 360 teachers from Grade 1 to Grade 2, as it was a long pending issue in the district right from the time of the state�s formation. The decision regaled the teachers of West Singhbhum district.
DDC Anil Kumar Roy, trainee IAS Nancy Sahay, DSE Pushpa Kujur and DEO Rajni Knat Verma were present at the meeting.
