Ranchi, April 28: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that uninterrupted power supply to the consumers is one of the prime agenda of his government.
Soon residents of Ranchi will get zero cut in power supply, he said while addressing a public gathering after inauguration of underground cabling work and mobile app dubbed eZy-bZly on Thursday.
�Within two years underground electric cabling in Ranchi and Jamshedpur will be completed,� the CM said.
On Thursday morning, the CM was at Raj Bhavan power station to inaugurate the underground cabling work where he inaugurated a mobile app to facilitate the consumers in bill payment and other works related to electricity department. He also inaugurated work of R-APDRP (PART-B) under which new power substation construction and capacity enhancement work of existing lines will be executed.
Das further added that Jharkhand government is committed to fulfill its promises, but public support is important for all-round development. For the social and economic growth of the state, 24×7 uninterrupted power supply is inevitable and Jharkhand government is all set to achieve this target phase-wise in fixed time frame. Under Deen Dayal Gramin Jyoti Yojna, all villages of Jharkhand will be electrified by 2018, said the CM.
Mr. Das expressed his happiness over prevailing techno friendly environment in rural areas and added that technology can be an important tool to check corruption. He called upon the masses to utilize eZy-bZly app to avail the facility of bill payment, complaint, new connection, load change and other works related to electricity department.
CM expressed his concern on water scarcity and said that Jharkhand government has initiated many schemes for water conservation and focus is on rain water harvesting. He mentioned about the dobha and pond construction and deepening of reservoirs as well. He called upon to gather for plantation on June 5 on the occasion of the Environment Day.
Kanke MLA Jeetu Charan Ram, principal secretary, Power S. K. G. Rahate, JVVNL M.D. Rahul Purwar and other dignitaries graced the occasion. In order to speed up the work, the CM held a meeting at Project Building and directed the departments to coordinate among themselves.
These departments were also told to nominate a nodal officer who will assist the functioning agency. The meeting was attended by the officers of Forest Department, Ranchi Police, Road Construction Department, Ranchi Municipal Corporation, Railway and BSNL.
