West Singhbhum: 35 year old villager injured in IED blast

Jamshedpur: In a regrettable incident that unfolded, near Boyapaisang village under Goilkera police station, an explosive device detonated in a forested and hilly area, resulting in the unfortunate injury of Madhu Taysum.

 

Taysum, aged 35, son of Vijay Taysum from Baraibir police station, Goilkera, District West Singhbhum, Chaibasa , sustained serious injuries. The victim was engaged in wood-cutting activities in the nearby villages of Bamyaburu and Boypaisasang.

 

Upon receiving information about the incident, Chaibasa police swiftly coordinated with CRPF 60Ch to rescue the seriously injured Madhu Taysum. The injured was evacuated from the scene with the assistance of local villagers and provided immediate first aid at Hathiburu camp.

 

Post initial aid, Madhu Taysum was transported to Chakradharpur hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment. The situation of the injured is reported to be stable, and further actions are underway.

 

In response to this incident, authorities highlighted the ongoing efforts in the Kalhan area to combat Naxal activities through continuous Anti-Naxal operations. The police and security forces are vigilant, given the use of improvised explosive devices by Naxalites to target security personnel. The incident, where villagers were injured in the blast, is condemned as a cowardly act by Naxalites.

 

The Jharkhand Police reaffirmed their commitment to public safety and emphasized their readiness to conduct intensive anti-Naxal operations to secure rural areas. The statement indicated that the campaign against Naxalites will persist to ensure the safety and well-being of the general public in the region.

 

The injured Taysum, son of Vijay Taysum from Baraibir police station, Gailkera, District West Singhbhum, Chaibasa G, is currently undergoing treatment at Chakradharpur hospital. The medical team reports that his condition is stable, and he is responding well to the treatment.

 

The incident highlights the risks faced by villagers and workers engaged in activities near forested areas, with anti-Naxal operations being an ongoing challenge for the security forces in the Kalhan area. Naxalites have been utilizing improvised explosive devices, such as the 5mm explosive involved in this incident, to target security forces.
