Jamshedpur, Nov 18: In the Parsudih police station area, a wedding celebration turned into mourning on Sunday when a person who had come to attend his nephew’s wedding, died after coming into contact with a live wire.
Preparations were underway at Sanjay Prasad’s house for his son’s pre-wedding ceremony scheduled for Monday. Prem Kumar (35) who was helping with electrical work at the house, accidentally came in contact with a live wire. He was rushed to Tata Main Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. “It was a tragic accident. We never expected the wedding celebrations to turn into such a sad event,” said a family member.
Witnesses reported that after receiving the electric shock, Prem Kumar fell onto a stone, suffering severe head injuries. Prem Kumar is survived by three children and was a farmer from Rohtas district in Bihar. On Monday, after the post-mortem was completed, the body was handed over to the family.
