We shall (never) overcome�

This picture of street encroachment is a common sight at major city junctures. Autorickshaw drivers fearlessly, shamelessly and almost brutally park their vehicles almost at the centre of busy roads making such scenes look almost normal to humble citizens. Traffic norm followers just curse sotto voce and bear the jams caused by these genre of human race who have thrown all fear of the law to the winds. And the administration boasts of CCTV cams, huh! Where are the �blind� gentlemen of authority who are supposed to keep an eye on traffic norms? The traffic cops do have eyes that look the other way. This is one episode of a daily scene. The photo was snapped on Sunday evening near Sakchi roundabout on the road leading towards Mango.
