Jamshedpur, Dec 1: A huge rally of laborers comprising mostly those from the unorganized sectors will be organized under the joint aegis of JUSCO Shramik Union and Jharkhand Aam Mazdoor Union under the stewardship of the president of both the labor organizations, Raghunath Pandey.

Pandey and other labor leaders today visited workers quarters in Bistupur that included ECC Flats, Northern Town, Armoury Ground, G Town Diagonal Road to mobilize votes for Congress candidates Banna Gupta (Jamshedpur West VS constituency) and Gaurav Ballav (Jamshedpur East Vidhan Sabha constituency).

In his address on the occasion, Raghunath Pandey observed, The BJP government has not paid any heed to development of the working class. Our demand for a minimum pay of Rs 21, 000 for laborers went unheard. We must elect such a government that is labor friendly and act on the lines of building a credible quality of life for the workers.

Addressing the workers who had assembled in large numbers, Jharkhand Aam Mazdoor Union vice president Kamal Kishore Agrawal quipped, The BJP government, instead of allotting houses is hell bent on breaking those that were already constructed and occupied.

Parsuram Mishra accused the BJP of following anti-labor policies as a result of which the working class had everything to lose and nothing to gain.

It may be mentioned here that the labor rally which is to be held on Monday, December 3 at the Netaji Subhas Maidan in Sakchi will have, besides the presence of popular labor leaders, Jamshedpur West Assembly constituency candidate Banna Gupta and Dr Gaurav Ballabh (Jamshedpur East) will also to be present  on the occasion.
