Jamshedpur, August 19: Lakhs of liters of water is being wasted everyday in the road due to damage of pipe of drinking water supply scheme near Jaipal Colony in the middle of the road leading from Mango Dimna Chowk to Dimna Lake.
The entire road has been damaged due to water flow, big potholes are inviting accidents.
The worst condition is of Jaipal Colony, located next to the road, because the people living in the colony are facing a lot of trouble due to the water stream coming out of the damaged pipe entering Jaipal Colony.
The local people complained about this to the department but the department officials are only assuring that the work will be done but the work is not being done.
Local people called BJP leader Vikas Singh on Saturday and apprised him about the matter. BJP leader Vikas Singh, who reached the spot, assured the local people that work will be done to give information about the matter to the Deputy Commissioner as well as the higher officials of the department, even if the situation does not improve, symbolic programs of tree plantation and fish farming will be held on the middle of the road.
