Jamshedpur: Measures are being taken in Bagbera Colony on the face of soaring summer conditions to address the recurring water crisis. In an initiative led by Potka MLA Sanjeev Sardar, water distribution through tankers has commenced from Saturday, facilitated by Tata Steel UISL (formerly Jusco) and Tarapore Company.
The arrival of water tankers brought relief to the residents, ensuring their access to clean drinking water during the scorching heat. The inauguration, attended by MLA’s Personal Secretary Manohar Munda and Panchayat representatives, marked the beginning of the water distribution efforts.
TSUISL’s 12,000-liter tanker made its first trip to Muiguttu under West Kitadih Panchayat, coinciding with the Baha Parv celebration. Water will be distributed across 15 panchayats, including Bagbera, Kitadih, Karandih, and Ghaghidih, with TSUISL conducting two trips daily and Tarapore & Company facilitating four trips using a 7,000-liter tractor-tanker.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of numerous dignitaries and community members, underscoring the collective effort to alleviate the water scarcity in the region amidst rising temperatures.
