Jamshedpur: On World Diabetes Day, the Clinical Cardio Diabetes Society of India (CCDSI), in collaboration with the Rotary Club, organized a walk-a-thon on Tuesday. The event saw the participation of diabetes doctors from various parts of the city, as well as individuals from different walks of life. Participants walked from Mohan Ahuja Stadium to Jubilee Park Gate, raising awareness about diabetes through banners and posters.
Following the walk, a camp was set up near Convent School where the blood pressure, blood sugar, and weight of 95 individuals were checked. Doctors at the camp provided valuable information to attendees on how to prevent diabetes.
Dr. Umesh Khan, the District President of CCDSI, highlighted the importance of raising awareness through events like the walk-a-thon on World Diabetes Day. He emphasized that improper daily routines and eating habits contribute to a growing number of people falling victim to diabetes, making it crucial to address and prevent.
