Jamshedpur: Members of Voice of Humanity celebrated Raksha Bandhan with Army jawans at Army Camp, Sonari, on Tuesday.
Girl members of the outfit performed aarti and tied rakhi on the wrists of the Army jawans who thanked the organization members for celebrating the festival with them.
The outfit member Durba Mukherjee said the jawans remained away from home and hence were deprived of the opportunity to celebrate various festivals with their near and dear ones.
In such situations, celebrating festivals like Rakhi and sharing good times with the soldiers gives happiness to the them, she said.
Many members of the outfit were present during the celebration. Among others present on the occasion included Sudha Singh and Rashmi Kumari.
