Jamshedpur, Jan 6: The Bagbeda Mahanagar Vikas Samiti convened a meeting at the Ramnagar Hanuman Temple to address delays in implementing the rural water supply scheme. Chaired by Subodh Jha, the meeting highlighted unresolved issues, including incomplete pipeline work. Social worker Vinod Ram stated, “Villagers demand immediate water supply via tankers. If the administration does not act, we will intensify our agitation.”

The villagers elected Vinod Ram as the committee’s convener and Pavitra Pandey as the Mahila Morcha convener. Ram pledged to escalate the movement, stating, “We are committed to continuing this agitation until the water supply scheme is operational.” The villagers plan to submit a demand letter to the Prime Minister through the Deputy Commissioner on January 7.
