Chaibasa, Jan. 10: The villagers of 23 panchayats blocked the NH Chakradharpur Main Market near sub divisional office on Sunday and protested the construction work of bridge over Sanjay River near Pump house and demanded to construct the same bridge between Lupung Bera and Chela Bera village.
The villagers said that the present over bridge construction will not benefit the villagers as they have to come around 30 kilometers distance to cross the bridge.
The protestors in large number with traditional weapon , banners and display cards blocked the Chakradharpur national highway for many hours .
