Chandil: The residents of several villages of Hensakocha panchayat met the deputy development commissioner cum chief executive officer of Zila Parishad Raymond Kerketta and additional deputy commissioner Sandip Kumar Doraiburu to demand development measures in their panchayat.
The villagers handed over a memorandum to the DDC and demanded that the district administration should take initiative to expedite development work in the local villages.
They said there were many people belonging to the primitive Bhumij Munda tribe living in Tanisiya, Bansakocha, Hathikocha, Matuda and Rangamati. They said no government official had so far visited the villages till date.
