Vikas Singh files nomination as independent candidate from Jamshedpur West

Jamshedpur, Oct 23: In a significant political development in Jamshedpur, seasoned BJP leader Vikas Singh has officially filed his nomination as an independent candidate for the Jamshedpur West Assembly seat, shaking up the local political landscape. With over 25 years of dedicated service to the BJP, Vikas led a grand procession to Sakchi’s Aam Bagan ground, drawing thousands of enthusiastic supporters. The march commenced from Dimna Chowk in Mango, where participants paid tribute to the statue of Baba Tilka Manjhi, symbolizing their commitment to the community.

Honouring several prominent figures, Vikas garlanded the statues of Amar Shaheed Khudiram Bose and Jayaprakash Narayan, setting a tone of respect and remembrance for those who fought for justice. Addressing the crowd at Aam Bagan, he asserted his loyalty to the BJP, stating, “I am the real BJP member.” His words resonated with supporters, who have followed his journey through the political arena.

Critically, Vikas did not shy away from targeting the current MLA, Banna Gupta, whom he accused of unethical practices throughout his tenure. “During the COVID-19 crisis, Gupta mismanaged resources, leading to the construction of a luxurious farmhouse while neglecting public health needs,” he claimed. Vikas emphasized that such actions demonstrate a clear prioritization of personal interests over the welfare of constituents.

Vikas’s campaign is focused on challenging Gupta’s leadership, asserting that the incumbent has engaged in nepotism and failed to provide essential services to the community. “People deserve better governance, and my candidacy is rooted in years of dedicated service to Jamshedpur,” he remarked, reinforcing his commitment to the electorate.

Addressing rumours about withdrawing his nomination, Vikas confidently stated, “I will not back down. Whether I win or lose, I am committed to serving the community.”
