Jamshedpur, September 28: The 27th year of Durga Puja celebrations at Vijaya Heritage, Phase I–V, Kadma, commenced with grandeur and devotion on Mahasashthi, setting the tone for a week-long festivity filled with cultural vibrance and community spirit.
The Puja Pandal was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Deepak Kumar Sinha, Ex-Director General of Police, Jharkhand, who also lit the ceremonial lamp. He was joined by the Guest of Honour, Balakrishnan, a respected veteran of Vijaya Heritage society, along with Gokul Kumar, President, and Prasanta Biswas, General Secretary, of the Vijaya Heritage Durga Puja Committee, as well as representatives of the Vijaya Heritage Welfare Society.
On this occasion, the Annual Souvenir was unveiled by the Chief Guest. As a gesture of respect, Deepak Kumar Sinha was felicitated with a planter and shawl by Prasanta Biswas, while Balakrishnan received similar honours from Gokul Kumar.
A large gathering of residents witnessed the event with great enthusiasm. In his address, the Chief Guest spoke on the empowering spirit of Goddess Durga, emphasizing her positive influence on life, especially in inspiring women with strength, resilience, and compassion.
Expressing his gratitude, President Gokul Kumar thanked the Chief Guest for his gracious presence and appreciated the tireless efforts of the organizing committee, cultural committee members, and the spirited youth of the society for ensuring a vibrant start to the celebrations.
Guest of Honour Balakrishnan shared nostalgic memories of 27 glorious years of Durga Puja at Vijaya Heritage, evoking a sense of pride and unity among the residents.
The evening concluded with a vote of thanks by General Secretary Prasanta Biswas, followed by delightful dance performances by the children of the society, which filled the atmosphere with joy and festive energy.
The inaugural day truly set the stage for a memorable week of devotion, culture, and togetherness at Vijaya Heritage.
