Jamshedpur, Jan. 8 : Brahman Yuva Shakti Sangh held election for the post of President under the watchful eyes of the administration on Sunday, January 8.
The election concluded peacefully which saw presence of 3057 members of the Sangh from the East Singhbhum district. Apart from the senior members of the society, women and youth in large numbers participated. For the election, administration had appointed a presiding officer to conclude the election successfully. The voting for the election started at 9 am and continued till 4 pm. The counting of votes started from 5 pm.
The counting of votes for the five candidates standing for the president’s post started in presence of election officer and administrative officers. After the counting of votes was over at 6 pm, Vijay Prakash Pathak was declared the winner. Satish Tiwary was elected the general secretary.
The third and fourth positions was bagged by Sunil Sharma and Pramod Mishra and were made the vice-president and treasurer of the Sangh.
The senior members of the Sangh and newly election officers will form district and divisional level teams. After the election, the winning candidates took an out rally with their supporters from Baradwari and culminated at Maa Shitla Mandir.
To conclude the election peacefully, Sangh’s Appu Tiwary, Kamlesh Dubey, bablu Vajpayee, Kalyani Mishra, Vishwakarma Pathak, Ankit Anand, Manish Dubey, Abhishek Ojha, Arun Shukla, Abhishek Pandey, Kumaresh Upadhyay, Ranjeet Pandey, Bablu Choubey, Vivek Pandey and others provided full support.
