Jamshedpur : In celebration of Vijay Divas, a significant occasion marking India’s victory in the 1971 war, a special learning session was organized by Young Indians in Jamshedpur High School to guide and encourage students on the path to joining the Indian Armed Forces.
The session, titled “How to Join the Armed Forces: What’s in Store for You,” aimed to shed light on the noble profession of serving in the armed forces and the plethora of career opportunities it offers.
The session commenced with a comprehensive introduction to the Armed Forces, highlighting its values, and the pivotal role it plays in safeguarding the nation’s security. A detailed overview of the diverse career opportunities within the Armed Forces was presented. Emphasis was placed on the importance of physical fitness and discipline in the life of an Army officer. An interactive question-and-answer session allowed students to clarify doubts, seek advice, and gain a deeper understanding of the expectations and challenges associated with a career in the Armed Forces.
The learning session featured distinguished guest speaker, Sushil Kumar Singh retired Petty Officer, Indian Navy and Surendra Prasad Maurya
retired Junior Warrant Officer Indian Air Force, who shared his personal experiences and insights. More than 80 students benefited from the session.
